Apel Mahmud is renowned for the classic Mora ekti phoolke ba(n)chabo boley juddho kori during and after the Liberation War. Shujeo Shyam has composed numerous acclaimed patriotic and inspirational songs. Both will share their experiences of the nine-month long struggle to freedom.

On the occasion of Independence Day, a special episode of Bangla Vision TV’s musical programme Gaanalap will be aired tonight at 9:05 pm. Tonight’s episode features Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artistes Apel Mahmud and Shujeo Shyam.
