Kuddus Boyati on RTV Basudha Tomar Jonno Amar E Gaan

Popular folk singer Kuddus Boyati is going to render live tonight (April 16th) on RTV. He will render songs in the live musical show ‘Basudha Tomar Jonno Amar E Gaan,’ which will be aired tonight at 11:00pm. Tanif Mahmud has produced the show hosted by Laura. Kuddus Boyati will be present as tonight’s guest in the show and render his popular folk numbers. He also renders songs, which will be requested from the viewers.

Abdul Kuddus Boyati is a leading palakar (narrator in palagaan folk genre) in the country. He has composed over 80 palas based on legends such as Holek Badshah, Kanchan Badshah, Feroz Khan Dewan, Mahua, Malua, Kamola Rani, Dewan Madina, Rupaboti, Bhelua and Mehernegar. Kuddus Boyati has become an icon of the folk genre amongst the urban dwellers in Bangladesh for his unique presentation of the palas.
