Preliminary round of Channel i Shera Kantho 09

Preliminary round of the musical talent hunt “Channel i Shera Kantho ‘09″ will be aired tonight at 7:50 pm. Tonight’s episode will feature the Barisal zone selection round.

Among thousands of contestants in Barisal, only ten got the much-coveted ‘visa cards’ that would enable them to participate in the next round, to be held in Dhaka.

The panel of judges for the Barisal round featured celebrated musical personalities including M.A. Mannan and Shammi Aktar. The lucky ten contestants are — Mohammad Jamal Hossain, Ummey Ruman Ripa, Sanjay Kumar Haldar, Zahurul Hasan Sohel, Subarna Shetu Saha, Bibha Rahman, Sagar Roy, Rajib Imran, Amit and Ripon.
