James, Junoon and Khailash Kher rocks Dhaka

Music loving people of Dhaka enjoyed an evening of music with Bangla, Urdu and Hindustani sufi songs with the performances of James, Junoon and Khailash Kher at the, Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre organised by Momentum Events on Thursday.
The Pakistani music band Junoon came first on the stage without their main vocalist Ali Azmat Khan as his mother was seriously ill. The members of Junoon rocked the audience by singing six of their popular tracks including ‘Lal meri pat’, ‘Dosti’, ’Pappu yar’ and ‘Sayonee’. Junnon used soaring guitar to riff and to deliver a sufi message of mystic harmony to the audience through their performance.
James popularly known as ‘nagar baul’ to the audience of Bangladesh gave an overwhelming performance at the fusion concert. He sang nine of his supper-hit tracks including ‘Dusto cheler dal’, ‘Meera bai’ ‘Veggi veggi’ and ‘Ma’.
Indian music heart throb Kailash Kher touched the souls of the audience by singing 11 of his popular tracks, including ‘Tauba tauba’, ‘Rabba ishq na hay’, ‘Sajna tere bina’ and ‘Allah ki bande’. He kept the audience spell bound and compelled them to dance with the songs.
The audience was delighted seeing the concert and many of them expressed their satisfaction. ‘It was an opportunity for the music lovers of Bangladesh to enjoy James, Junoon and Kailash Kher on one stage. We are delighted listening to the sufi music and expect more concerts of this kind,’ said Rezwan, a young listener expressing his view after the concert.
