James, Mila and Hasan rock Jessore

Last Monday evening James’ popular song reverberated at Shamsul Huda Stadium in Jessore. No, a CD/DVD featuring the song was not being played; the rockstar rendered the song live at the venue amidst a cheering crowd of fans and music enthusiasts. Other highlights were performances by Hasan and Mila. The concert was held amidst tight security.

The show was organised by ‘Chetona Students Welfare Association’. With an aim to lend a hand to destitute people who do not have warm clothes for winter, the concert was an initiative of Monjurul Islam, president of the organisation.

Thousands, including students, villagers, people from Jessore town, namely music lovers thronged here to have a glance of the famed singers. Hasan, Mila and James performed ten songs one after another. In between performances the artistes also shared their personal experiences with the audience.

Lipon, who attended the concert, said, “This is an unforgettable experience for me and I’m sure many here feel the same. We have never seen James, Hasan and Mila in person.”

Monjurul Islam, president of Chetona Students Welfare Association, said that the initiative was to help people ill prepared for the winter. Apart from the noble cause, the concert also provided an opportunity for people from all walks of life to enjoy live performances by James, Hasan and Mila.
