Jaago Bangla Movie Review and Behind the Scenes

Sometimes it takes courage to stand up, sometimes it takes gusty efforts to face the challenges, sometimes boys become man to save the last pride. Jago, Interspeed Advertising Ltd’s first production - feature film, is all about that. It will be the first sport based feature film in Bangladesh.

The film is produced by Sharjeel Karim and Adnan Karim and directed by Khijir Hayat Khan who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film.

MD of BFDC said, “The country was out of good movies. As a result, the film industry was losing financers. This movie will give different story and screenplay to the cinema lovers.”

Adnan Karim said, “We want to focus on football in this movie, though it will be the first time in Bangladesh. We want to focus on a family life, which is absent in our present Bengali movies.”

Tareq Anam, Faisal, Bindu, Raunak, Naim, Arefin Shuvo, Kaiser Hameed, Palash, Jotika Joti, Sharleen, Diana and a group of young talented actors will perform in the film.

As per the director, the story is the hero over here and all the actors will be playing their roles to uphold the spirit of the film. Arnob, one of talented music directors of the present generation, will compose the songs for the film.

Shooting of Jago started  in Comilla on july 03, 2008 and it will continue till april, 2009. Location also includes Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar.

Behind the Scenes:

The movie will have five songs including the theme song. Rashed Zaman who has already worked in many famous television commercials will be the director of photography.

Jago will be shoot in Hi-Definition (HD) format, a new technology. The entire postproduction will be done in USA. The producers intend to release it this year in Bangladesh and abroad.

Khijir Hayat said, “The country is going to a changing situation. Jago will be that type of changing movie.’

Jaago At a Glance:

This film is about all of us who love this country and who likes this spirit of football. It will give a new dimension to our film industry, he said.

He hopefully said, “We will be able to bring back the golden days of football back among us.”

A group of young guys from a small town in Comilla who stand up to save their last pride playing football.

The theme for this film is that Bangladeshis are a talented nation. With proper guidance, right determination and patriotism the nation can make impossible possible.

For the first time we will see a feature film in Bangladesh, which will be absolutely sports along with relationships, love and emotions carried away by a patriotic theme build in it.

Muharrat of Jago:

Muharrat of Jago was held at the Digital Sound Complex Auditorium of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on Monday. ANM Badrul Amin, Managing Director of BFDC, was present as chief guest, while Adnan Karim, producer of the film, Khijir Hayat Khan, director of Jago, Sanwar Morshed, Adviser of the Producers’ Association and Shah Alam Kiron, Secretary of the Directors’ Association, spoke at the function.
