5th Citycell-Channel i Music Awards

The 5th Citycell-Channel i Music Awards is being held today. The award giving ceremony will be held at Winter Garden, Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. The announcement was made at a press conference at the Tejgaon office of Channel i, yesterday.
Faridur Reza Sagar, managing director, Impress Telefilm Ltd and Channel i; Michael Seymour, CEO, Citycell and Taslim Ahmed, deputy general manager, corporate affairs, Citycell were present on the occasion.
“The award is given to individuals in recognition of their work and contribution to Bangladeshi music,” said Faridur Reza Sagar.
Michael Seymour said, “This award is part of Citycell’s initiative to promote Bangladeshi music.”
Citycell and Channel i have been holding this music award since 2004.
This year the awards will be given in 16 categories — Classical (Instrumental), Classical (Vocal), Tagore Songs, Nazrul Songs, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Modern Songs, Folk Songs, Band Music, Lyrics, Music Direction, New Artiste, Cover Design, Music Video and Sound Engineering.
Channel i will telecast the “5th Citycell-Channel i Music Awards” live from 7:30 pm.
