All Ekushey February TV programmes

As in previous years, television channels of the country will telecast special programmes in observance of the International Mother Language Day on February 21. Nearly all the channels will televise programmes live in the early morning and in the afternoon at 3:00 from the Central Shaheed Minar on the day.

ATN Bangla
Private television channel ATN Bangla will telecast a telefilm ‘Pap’ at 4:10pm. The telefilm is scripted and directed by Ferdous Hasan while Apurbo, Sumaya Shimu and Abul Hayat will be in the cast.
Drama ‘Murda Faras’, scripted and directed by Mamunur Rashid, will be televised at 8:45pm. Mamunur Rashid, Tamalika Karmakar, AKM Hasan and Tusher Khan will play roles in the drama.

Channel i
Ferdous Hasan’s drama ‘Manush Mandir’ will go on air at 12:05pm.The cast includes Bipasa Hayat, Toukir Ahmed and Abul Hayat.
Drama ‘Tumi Thaka Sindhu Pare’ with the cast including Lux-Channel i superstar Mehazabien Chowdhury, Mahfuz Ahmed, Amirul Islam and Chitralekha Guah will be telecast at 7:50pm. The drama is scripted and directed by Nahid Ahmed Pial.

RTV
RTV will telecast an interview-based documentary ‘Amra Je Bhashai Katha Bali’ at 9:25pm. Another documentary ‘Language for Development’ based on the international conference on language for development attended by linguists from 220 countries will be telecast at 10:10pm.

Desh TV
Recitation programme ‘Uchharanguli Shoker’ will be telecast at 5:02pm. Renowned writers and poets including Syed Shamsul Haq, Nirmalendu Goon, Belal Chowdhury, Rafiq Azad, Abdul Mannan Syed, Asad Chowdhury, Rabiul Hossain, Habibullah Siraji, Mahadeb Saha, Rubi Rahman, Shamin Azad, Ferdous Nahar, Tarique Sujat, Kamal Chowdhury, Ashim Saha and Munzur-I-Mawla will recite from their poems in the programme.
Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s drama ‘Ami Ki Bhulite Pari’ starring Moutusi and MS Rana will be telecast at 9:45pm. Tanvir Mokammel’s full-length Bangla film ‘Chitra Nadir Pare’ at 11:30pm.

NTV
NTV will telecast drama ‘Haluder Rang’ at 11:00am. The drama is scripted by Momtaz Uddin Ahmed and directed by Ashrafi Mithu. The cast includes Azad Abul Kalam, Tarin, Nova, Khirul Alam Sabuj, Shamsul Alam Bokul, Pricilla Perveen, Rahmat Ali and Arefin Shuvo.
Drama ‘Palasher Rang’, scripted by Mohammad Sahabuddin and directed by Sumon Anwar, will be telecast at 8:15pm. Farhana Mili, Dinar, Wahida Mollik Jolly, Farhana Mithu and Saleh Ahmed will be in the cast while documentary ‘Samakaler Bhasachitra’ will be telecast at 9:45pm.

Banglavision
Banglavision will telecast drama ‘Swapner Barnamala’ at 8:15pm. Kownine Sourov has scripted and directed the drama. The cast includes Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Kayes Chowdhury, Manas Bandayapaddya, Tanzika, Shahriar Shuvo, Maznun Mizan, Munira Mithu and Mita Noor.
Musical programme ‘Bhasar Gaan’ will be telecast at 6:40pm. Fatema-tuz-Zohra, Fahmida Nabi and Khirul Anam Shakil will render songs in the programme.

ETV
Eminent filmmaker Zahir Raihan’s film ‘Jibon Theke Neya’ will be telecast at 1:30pm and a musical programme ‘Ekusher Gaan’ at 7:50pm.
The channel will also telecast Taher Shipon’s drama ‘Ongker’ at 10:10pm. Aupee Karim and Azizul Hakim, among others, will play different roles in the drama.
