Bangla Music and its fans mourns for the fallen
|
National mourning being observed. The national flag have been kept at half-mast on this occasion. “Bangla Music” mourns for the families, relatives, friends with losses and Nation in shock on behalf of our Bangla Music fans and the team.
Primary observations indicate that this was certainly not an isolated or internal incident. This act was well thought out and planned to divide our forces, create a desired image of the country and inflict a deep wond with in the country men. They already gained what they wanted to. We all must stay united and keep our citizens, the armed forces and the country together as we set an example for next generations. We all need to do our part so this never happens again. It was said by one of the BDR men that they received a large sum and didn’t care about anything else.
Total death count is about 79 now. As the bodies were being brought out from the sewer one by one, and as a mass grave was being excavated within the BDR headquarters, the people of Bangladesh, perhaps of the world at large, stood aghast at the extent of the barbarity perpetrated on the officers of our border security forces.
As we watched on television the heart rending scenes of distraught families desperately trying to get a last glimpse of the mutilated bodies of their loved ones and others anxiously waiting for some news of those missing, the natural question that came to our mind was, for what “crimes” were these officers meted out such inglorious death? For what unprofessional acts were life snuffed out of them at the height of their career? For what possible action of theirs could a section of BDR jawans murder their officers in such an inhuman and un-soldierly manner? The answer escapes reason, words and logic.
However, one thing can be said with certainty, if there were some sympathy for the points raised by the rebellious jawans, not an iota of it remained in the public mind after the initial extent of the crime became evident yesterday.
Hopefully we’ll come to know why all these happened. A rescuer who had talked to one such “involuntary mutineer”, told The Daily Star, “It seems the main group had a plan chalked out long ago. Those who committed the atrocities were young soldiers recruited in the last few years. They received huge sums from somewhere, and did not care much about their career.”
Nation must stand united behind democracy, the elected govt, Law and punishment of the killers.
