Classical music certificates distributed
Chintak Association for Cultural Advancement, of Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha, recently gave certificates to the participants of a classical music workshop that began last week. Lawmakers of the district were also accorded a reception at the programme.
The programme was held at the BD auditorium of Gobindaganj. Engineer Monwar Hossain Chowdhury, parliamentary member of Gaibandha-4 attended the programme as chief guest, while Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, upazila chairman of Gobindaganj, was present as special guest.
Babulal Chowdhury, chairman of Chintak, presided over the meeting. The discussants laid emphasis on the need for more such workshops in the area so as to give a boost to latent talent.
The programme started with lighting candles, accompanied by a chorus of the artistes of Chintak.
The programmed wrapped up with a colourful cultural programme where participants of the workshop and artistes of Chintak performed.
