Cultural programme for the visual impaired people in Magura

A cultural programme for the visual impaired people in Magura was held at the Nomani Maidan in the town last Thursday afternoon.

The programme was arranged by Ad-Deen, a voluntary organisation. Eighteen visually impaired individuals rendered ‘adhunik’ and folk songs while six from the group recited poems.

Earlier, on Wednesday the organisers held a discussion and various games like ‘Haribhanga’ and ‘roshi-tanatani’. A total of 52 visually impaired men and women from four upazilas of the district took part in the events.

With Zakir Hossain in the chair, the discussion was addressed by Magura Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abu Nasir Bablu as the chief guest.
