Ferdousi Ara Begum as a music Director

Recently noted Nazrul singer Ferdous Ara has written her name in the music direction. A musical album comprising of 12 popular Nazrul songs has been completed recently, which Ferdous Ara gave music direction. The songs are - ‘Akashe helan diye pahar ghumay oyee,’ ‘Shewlly tolay bhor belay kushum kuray pollibalay,’ ‘Jhilmil jhilmil dhew tule,’ ‘Rumjhum rumjhum ke bajay jhol jhumjhumi,’ ‘Projapoti projapoti,’ ‘Momer-o putul momir desher meye,’ ‘O bhai khati sonar cheye khati,’ ‘Ami jar nupurer chhondey,’ ‘Shukno patay nupur-o paye,’ ‘Elo elo baishakhi jhor,’ ‘Chhonder bonya horini aronyo’ and others.

While mentioning about her music direction Ferdous Ara said, “I have tried my level best to introduce Nazrul songs for the present music lovers. I have also ensured original tunes of Nazrul Sangeet while also using behala with group violin, flute, setar in the composition. Country’s noted musicians like Jalal Ahmed, Hamid, Badshah, Siraj, Debu helped me in the music direction. I am grateful to them.”
