‘South Asian Superstar’ Shuvo meets the Press

Winner contestant of the musical contest of the South Asian region ‘South Asian Superstar’ Shuvo yesterday met the media personnel at a press conference at the private television channel RTV at Karwanbazar in the city.

RTV organized the conference to give reception to Shuvo and to disclose the future plan of the winner of the contest.

CEO of RTV M Hamid, Chief Executive of TV South Asia Rubana Haq and Consultant Editor of TV South Asia Nadim Kader, Shuvo, among others, were present on the occasion.

Speakers said, along with Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India, RTV also aired the contest regularly. Two contestants each from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan participated in the competition. Nazam Seraj from Pakistan, Agun from Bangladesh, Dr Dilip Gabadamu Dali from Sri Lanka, Raju Singh from Nepal, Sarang Dev from India were judges in the contest, while Usha Uthup from India was also present as guest judge on the occasion. From Bangladesh Mishu Rahman and another one from India presented the whole event, they said.

According to the decision from the judged Shuvo was adjudged winner of the contest. Another Bangla-deshi contestant Niloy got the sixth position. Final round will be aired on March 20 at 11:00pm, said the speakers at the press conference.
