Rock star Hasan’s solo album ‘Bhalobasha mane dukhho’ has quickly captured the hearts of many music lovers. Hasan of the good old band Ark has returned to his fans with this latest compilation. Fans will hopefully find that their expectations are well met after waiting these last few months for this album.
The tracks are composed by the young and talented Prince Mahmud and others. ‘Bhalob-asha mane dukhho’ proves its excellence in Hassan’s voice, tunes and lyrics. The artist’s voice and style makes him stand out from his contemporaries.
There are a total of 11 songs. ‘Prem’ and ‘Chader kalanka’ are beautifully melodic numbers. The song compares a girl’s beauty with the moon and describes that she has little scars like ‘kalanka’ or the dark craters of the moon. It is a mixture of romanticism and reality, in sync with matured music lovers of the current age.
‘Bhalobasha mane dukhho’ and ‘Jibon’ are the two defining songs of the album. The track ‘Bhalobasha mane dukhho’ is a reminder of Hasan’s signature track, ‘Bhalobashai eto kashta keno’. Hassan’s songs deal with tragic love stories - a touch point in Bangla culture. ‘Bhalobashai beshe jabo’, also follows the same theme. The song ‘Jibon’s lyrics sound out a greater philosophy of life.
Produced by Salim Khan’s music house Sangeeta, the songs of the album each carry their own flavours. Like ‘Meye’, the first track is attuned to current trends while ‘Bichar Din’ has religious theme. Other tracks include ‘O priyo’, ‘Uchyalata’, ‘Kabita mane’ and more.
