Dhamaka Album by Meridian channel i khude gaanraj

Contestants of the talent hunt programme, ‘Meridian channel i khude gaanraj’ further displayed their aptitude in singing songs of different genres in a recently released album on the occasion of Eid, aptly titled ‘Eid Dhamaka’.

The kids tuned to popular numbers from past and present, including Bandhu tor barat nia, Nithua pathare, Allah nabijir namm, Amar gorur garite, Tomar dil ki doya, Amar majhe nai akhon ami, Anek shadonar por, Din bari jai, Amar buker, and Amar achhe jol.

It is an enchanting experience for listeners as the performers of the album render songs so charmingly, that at times, the songs sounded better than their original versions.

‘The performance of the song by Sadya and Tuba was outstanding and even better than my own!’ acknowledged Samina Chowdhury, who originally sang Amar majhe nai akhon am and was a judge at the talent hunt.

Nithua pathare, another contemporary hit rendered by Jhuma and Uday was also a highlight of the album. Listeners may sometimes find it hard to believe that the songs are rendered by kids, as they admirably retained the original tunes of the songs.

The winner of the talent hunt programme, Jewel Rana’s performance of Anek shadonar por also made for an awe-inspiring rendition. Other performers in the album include Aloka, Parsi, Saran and Kobi.

The album was released in VCD format by Gaanchil and has truly lived up to its billing, earning plaudits from all corners.
