Shopner Prithibi by Balam ft Julie
|
Balam, the prolific music artist whose songs have caught on with the youth, has released, in collaboration with another noted artist, Julee, the album titled ‘Shopner Prithibi’. Featuring nine songs in total, the album, released earlier this year, incorporates different elements from various themes and weaves them almost seamlessly into the fabric of the songs.
The first song on Shopner Prithibi titled Shonkhochil, features both Balam and Julee and is a nice composition, with soothing lyrics with exemplary music. Perhaps what sets it apart from the others is that the very pace of the music in this song has a rather subdued but graceful tempo.
The pace picks up in the second song, Tumihina, a duet which is magnificently rendered by both artists. The third song, Meghla Oviman is sung by Julee alone, and reverts to the subdued pace of the first song. The fourth song, Nesh Nesha Mon also by Julee features a much faster pace of music.
Other notable songs from the album include Hridoyer Thikana by Julee, which does a good job of blending quality guitar work into the song. Dokhina Duar abandons the fast paced deliberation set in some of the other songs in the albumand delivers a very laudable composition.
Perhaps the most emotion-rendering song is the last track aptly named ‘Shopner Prithibi’ - a duet, which conveys subtly the aspirations of a better world for everyone, devoid of wars and famine. Featuring a good mix of guitar work and occasionally interspersed by fast paced tunes, the song is undoubtedly the pick of the album, not only owing to its good composition but also because of the message the song conveys.
Overall, the album scores very high in all departments and is recommended for music enthusiasts.
